Lead iOS Developer

You want to lead complex greenfield iOS builds that genuinely reshape consumer banking journeys as a Lead iOS Developer, owning both the technical direction and the delivery of high-impact mobile experiences.

Your role sits on a key engagement in New York, focused on modernizing large-scale consumer banking experiences spanning onboarding, account management and money movement. This contract is for you as a Lead iOS Developer who can drive a greenfield initiative, building new mobile capabilities to support market expansion and evolving regulatory requirements while working closely with senior client stakeholders.

What You'll Do

Own the technical direction and day-to-day delivery of a complex iOS mobile banking application for a major financial services client as the Lead iOS Developer. Design, implement, deliver and test innovative Swift-based iOS applications using tools such as SwiftUI and UIKit, grounded in a deep understanding of client business needs. Collaborate closely with product owners, designers, technologists and business stakeholders to translate priorities into working software. Break down complex customer and regulatory requirements into elegant architectural solutions and pragmatic delivery plans. Champion strong software architecture, coding standards, and development best practices across the team to improve quality and velocity. Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services into performant, secure and maintainable mobile experiences. Experiment with emerging mobile technologies and patterns and help the team adopt new tools and approaches where they add measurable value.

What You'll Bring

Extensive experience designing and building complex, commercial-grade software systems, including several years leading Agile delivery teams. Deep proficiency in Swift and native iOS development with hands-on experience in SwiftUI and UIKit. Direct experience building consumer banking mobile journeys, particularly around customer onboarding and account management. Strong knowledge of integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries into production iOS applications. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and modern CI/CD pipelines for mobile. A solid understanding of mobile UI and UX principles, with a focus on creating intuitive and engaging customer experiences. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and align both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
