Filling a hard-to-hire multilingual design role in three weeks

allmyhomes is a Berlin team of real estate and technology experts offering a holistic, one-stop-shop marketing service for new building projects. Their concept combines branding, content creation, lead generation and sales, linked to a software platform that matches developers with the right buyers using technology such as 3D and VR.

The Designer role had been advertised over the summer, but was paused due to the difficulty of finding the right person.

When the role re-opened in late November, Consortia was the only agency trusted with it. The salary was around market rate, but the requirement for a fluent German and English speaker made the skills match difficult in a candidate-short design market.

Consortia ran a focused search and moved quickly once the role re-opened. Five candidates were submitted over three days, the initial three followed by two more after CV feedback.

All five candidates were taken to first interview, four progressed to second stage, two reached the final stage, and one offer was made.

The offer was accepted and the placed designer was in situ within six weeks of first contact. The total recruitment process took three working weeks.
